Journal of Frugal Innovation and Strategic Management (JFISM) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and practices in frugal innovation and strategic management, particularly in resource-constrained and emerging market contexts. The journal provides a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and students to disseminate innovative and high-quality research that contributes to the development of affordable, accessible, and sustainable solutions to contemporary organizational and business challenges.
JFISM welcomes original research, conceptual studies, and interdisciplinary contributions that explore the relationship between innovation, strategy, and resource utilization. Its scope includes, but is not limited to, frugal and jugaad innovation, strategic management and competitive strategy, business model innovation, innovation management in emerging markets, resource-constrained organizational strategy, cost-effective business solutions, entrepreneurship, organizational capabilities, digital transformation, technology management, sustainable business, and innovation strategy. The journal also welcomes studies that integrate economic perspectives, management practices, business strategies, and innovation to address contemporary challenges at organizational, industrial, national, and global levels.
To ensure academic rigor and the quality of published research, all submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. JFISM is published twice a year, with its initial issue, Volume 1, Number 1, covering July–December 2026. The journal aims to become a valuable reference for scholars and practitioners interested in the evolving fields of frugal innovation and strategic management, particularly in emerging markets and other resource-constrained environments.
