Journal of Waqf and Islamic Finance (JWIF) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and practices in waqf management and Islamic finance. The journal provides a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and students to disseminate innovative and high-quality research that contributes to the development, management, and sustainable utilization of waqf and Islamic financial resources. JWIF welcomes studies that explore the role of waqf and Islamic finance in promoting economic development, financial inclusion, social welfare, and sustainable business practices from Islamic perspectives.

The journal welcomes original research, conceptual studies, and interdisciplinary contributions that examine the relationship between waqf, Islamic finance, and economic development. Its scope includes, but is not limited to, waqf governance, management, and development; Islamic banking and financial institutions; sukuk and Islamic capital markets; zakat and Islamic social finance; Islamic fintech; Islamic microfinance and financial inclusion; and Sharia-compliant investment and risk management. The journal also welcomes studies on Sharia governance, Islamic financial innovation, and other related areas that contribute to the understanding and application of Islamic principles in contemporary financial and economic activities.

To ensure academic rigor and the quality of published research, all submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. JWIF is published twice a year, with its initial issue, Volume 1, Number 1, covering July–December 2026. The journal aims to become a valuable reference for scholars and practitioners interested in the development of waqf management and Islamic finance, particularly in addressing contemporary economic and social challenges in both local and global contexts.
