About the Journal

Journal of Multilingual Education and Comparative Pedagogy (JMECP) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to advancing research and scholarship in multilingual education and comparative pedagogical practices across diverse linguistic, cultural, and educational contexts. The journal provides a scholarly platform for academics, researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners to disseminate original and high-quality research that contributes to a deeper understanding of multilingual learning, language education, and pedagogical practices across different educational systems and cultural settings.

The journal welcomes research on multilingual and mother tongue-based education; bilingual education policy and implementation; comparative education systems across countries; cross-cultural teaching and learning practices; language policy in multicultural and multiethnic societies; curriculum development for diverse linguistic contexts; and teacher preparation for multilingual classrooms. JMECP also encourages interdisciplinary and comparative studies that examine the relationships among language, culture, pedagogy, educational policy, curriculum, and teaching practices in diverse educational environments.

To ensure academic rigor and the quality of published research, all submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process. JMECP is published twice a year, with the initial issue, Volume 1, Number 1, covering July–December 2026. The journal aims to serve as a valuable reference for researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners interested in the development of multilingual education and comparative pedagogy in local, national, and international contexts.
