About the Journal
Journal of Peacebuilding and Political Science (JPPS) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to advancing knowledge and critical discourse on peacebuilding within the fields of political science, governance, and law. The journal provides a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and students to disseminate innovative and high-quality research that contributes to the understanding of peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and the development of peaceful, inclusive, and resilient societies. JPPS welcomes studies that examine the political, legal, and institutional dimensions of peacebuilding at local, national, and global levels.
The journal welcomes original research, conceptual studies, and interdisciplinary contributions that explore the relationship between peacebuilding, political institutions, governance, and legal frameworks. Its scope includes, but is not limited to, peacebuilding and conflict resolution; reconciliation and post-conflict recovery; political science and governance; religious moderation and political engagement; law and policy in conflict-affected contexts; peace and security studies; and democratization and political institutions. The journal also welcomes studies on public policy, human rights, political participation, and other related areas that contribute to the understanding and practice of peacebuilding.
To ensure academic rigor and the quality of published research, all submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process. JPPS is published twice a year, with its initial issue, Volume 1, Number 1, covering July–December 2026. The journal aims to become a valuable reference for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers interested in the development of peacebuilding and political science, particularly in addressing conflict, strengthening governance, and promoting sustainable peace in both local and global contexts.
